تحل اليوم الإثنين ذكرى ميلاد الفنان الكبير عماد حمدي، أحد عمالقة الفن المصري، الذي ترك بصمة لا تُنسى في تاريخ السينما بأعماله المميزة وأدواره المتنوعة.
وُلد عماد حمدي، واسمه الحقيقي محمد عماد الدين عبد الحميد حمدي، في محافظة سوهاج عام 1909. حصل على دبلوم مدرسة التجارة وبدأ حياته المهنية كموظف في استوديو مصر، حيث شغل عدة مناصب، منها رئيس حسابات، مدير إنتاج، ومدير توزيع.
شغفه بالتمثيل منذ الصغر قاده للمشاركة في أفلام دعائية لوزارة الصحة، قبل أن تكون انطلاقته الحقيقية عام 1945 من خلال فيلم “السوق السوداء”. عُرف بأدائه الانفعالي الهادئ وصوته المميز، ما أهّله لبطولة العديد من الأفلام الهامة، مثل: “خان الخليلي”، “ميرامار”، “ثرثرة فوق النيل”، “بين الأطلال”، “إني راحلة”، “أم العروسة”، “سواق الأتوبيس”، و”لا تطفئ الشمس”.
ابتعدت أدواره لاحقًا عن الرومانسية لتتنوع بين الأعمال الدرامية والاجتماعية، حيث أبدع في تجسيد شخصيات أثرت في أجيال متعاقبة من الجمهور.
على الصعيد الشخصي، تزوج الفنان عماد حمدي أربع مرات، كانت أولها من الراقصة حورية محمد، ثم الفنانة فتحية شريف، التي أنجب منها ابنه نادر. لاحقًا، تزوج من الفنانة شادية ثم من الفنانة نادية الجندي، التي أنجب منها ابنه هشام.
كان آخر ظهور سينمائي له في فيلم “النشالة” عام 1984 مع محمود ياسين ونيللي، من إخراج حلمي رفلة. ورحل عن عالمنا تاركًا إرثًا فنيًا خالدًا يصعب تكراره.
